Kern River

KRN The Kern River Watershed is the southern-most watershed of this study. The Kern is the second largest watershed, but has only 4 FERC licensed hydro projects. This watershed is the highest with the 4,418 m peak of Mt. Whitney, and is characterized by rugged and remote land managed by the National Park Service.
