The Calaveras Watershed is located in the central Sierra Nevada. It is the second smallest watershed (after the Bear) and has capacity of only 2.97 MW of hydropower at its one powerhouse below New Hogan Reservoir. Downstream of New Hogan Reservoir is praised by anglers for having the best trout fishing in the region.
