Campsites

Our journey took us down nearly 200 km from Walker Lake to Kobuk Village. We made camp each night, seeking out exposed gravel bars. We practiced a leave no trace approach to all of our camping activities, and took all necessary approaches and precautions as instructed during our backcountry primer provided by the NPS crew. Fortunately, we were unmolested by bears in all camps, but graced by occasional howls of nearby wolves in several.
